Leave if it feels wrong

You get to a date, take one look, and decide not to stay. Tap "I'm here but I don't feel safe" and you're done: no penalty, no mark on your profile, and your credits come straight back. Your date is told the plan ended — never that you left or why, because that would point them at the person who told us.

We don't need your location to believe you. Sharing it helps us if there's ever a wider pattern, but turning it off changes nothing — you get the same outcome either way. And there's no limit on this. "You've used up your safety exits" is not a sentence we're willing to write.

QR verification

Every meetup ends with both people scanning each other's unique, single-use QR code. It confirms you actually met, settles staked credits fairly, and creates an honest record for both profiles — without storing any sensitive location data.

One-tap SOS

If something feels off during a meetup, a single tap fires an SOS alert — sharing your live location with your chosen trusted contacts and flagging the plan internally for review.

Trusted contacts

Add a friend or family member as a trusted contact and HangTing can automatically share your plan's time, place, and who you're meeting before you head out.

Fuzzy locations

Plan locations show as an approximate area to applicants. The exact address only unlocks once you've accepted someone into the plan — never before.

Credit-backed accountability

Because joining a plan requires staking credits, people who don't intend to show up have less incentive to apply in the first place — reducing flaky and low-intent contact.

Reporting & review

Report a user or a plan in two taps from the app. Our team reviews every report, and repeated flaking, harassment, or unsafe behavior leads to warnings or suspension.
